THE YEAR OF IMPROVEMENT

In English below.

ENG // On January 3rd I sat down to make a "word of the year" page in my bullet journal. The word I chose for this year is "improve". What does this mean for me? I have a list of things that are more or less linked to improvement, and they're things I want to accomplish this year. Some of the things on my list are smaller, and some are a little bigger. Some of them are things I want to keep a bit more private (at least for now), and some of them are things I've even been thinking about blogging about.

Besides this word I'll be trying to follow this year, I also have a few goals for the year. Some of them are the same as on the "improvement list", and some of them are completely different things. There's small goals, as well as a little bigger goals, just like with the improvements. To give you an example, one goal is to donate blood, and another one is to watch more movies (my goal is 52!).

Something that I think is very important when setting yourself goals, is that you don't go in with the attitude that you have to make it happen. It should be something you really want to accomplish and will try to work towards, but it shouldn't be something you have to accomplish. If it's a must, there's a bigger chance it won't happen, or that you will accidentally end up with an unhealthy relationship to the thing. That's why all these things on my list are things I really want to and will try to accomplish, but none of them are a must. And your goals shouldn't be either.
